lazarus - setup scroll per lines editor on mouse-scroll lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sunjob · 2014-10-17 16:46 good day i need set subject (1-2 lines, nearly...) lazarus-1.2.6   - 3   line on one-mouse-scroll  (the problem is solved) lazarus-0.9.31 - 12 line on one-mouse-scroll  !!! (the problem is not solved) !!! any ideas, patch of lazarus or hidden settings?! thanks on screenshots "shift" on one mouse-scroll-click on lazarus-0.9.31 (12 line) excuse my english http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1017/c4/c842aeade5bd562675f798a2037bedc 4.jpg http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1017/c1/534cfc01eb038f17aabb0ae53688a7c 1.jpg ---------------------------------------------------------------------- howardpc · 2014-10-17 18:58 The settings are not hidden, but may not be very intuitive. Bring up the IDE Options dialog (Ctrl-Shift-O). Scroll the treeview on the left until the Editor node with its Mouse subnode is visible, and click on Mouse. The Mouse page to the right of the dialog has four main sections:   General   Gutter   Text   and a lower unlabelled section headed by 7 buttons: Left 1, Left 2, Middle, Wheel, ... Click on Wheel which displays 8 new elongated comboboxes The dropdown combo labelled Wheel offers numerous options including:   Scroll (single line)   Scroll (page)   Scroll (half page) etc. You can also set mouse wheel + Ctrl/Alt/Shift key combination commands. Don't forget to press [OK] to save your settings. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2014-10-17 20:04 If you need to scroll 3 lines per each wheel-tick: Use "Scroll (System speed)", and configure your system. ---------------- You can also specify the amount of lines in the advanced mouse settings. But please note, they are "advanced settings", not simple at all. There is a wiki explaining them..... Find in the grid, the TWO entry for mouse wheel (up/down)) ("speed lines"), and double click each. Then in the pop up there is a field "Opt" Set it to 3 (or whatever amount of lines you want) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sunjob · 2014-10-18 03:23 to howardpc great big ship, need a lot of mine, what would it proshevelit  thank you so much, more power to your elbow a solution for the new version of lazarus-1.2.6 i'm use the same old version of lazarus-0.9.31 how to configure it? thank you >> If you need to scroll 3 lines per each wheel-tick: >> Use "Scroll (System speed)", and configure your system. this solution is not for use, the general system settings - ideal for the whole environment, the problem only with lazarus ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2014-10-18 11:38 Look at the pictures. 1) Set scroll in normal mouse settings. 2) Find those in advanced. Note: In the "- - -" there may be "n" for some of the "-" Double click  each of the 2 lines 3) In the opt field (default "0": 0 and 1 do the same) Set "opt" to 3. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2014-10-18 11:49 Quote from: sunjob on October 17, 2014, 06:46:50 pmlazarus-1.2.6   - 3   line on one-mouse-scroll  (the problem is solved) lazarus-0.9.31 - 12 line on one-mouse-scroll  !!! (the problem is not solved) !!! Maybe there is a misunderstanding. Do you try to 1) fix/change Lazarus 1.2.6 2) fix/change Lazarus 0.9.31 ? This is only possible in 1.2.6 ---- Lazarus 0.9.31 has no settings for that.  In Lazarus 0.9.31  this can not be changed. Lazarus 0.9.31  is very old, any reason why you still use it? In 0.9.31 File  components\synedit\synedit.pp Line  7087 procedure TCustomSynEdit.WMMouseWheel(var Msg: TMessage); Line 7103     nDelta := Mouse.WheelScrollLines Change to     nDelta := 3 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sunjob · 2014-10-18 15:27 > Maybe there is a misunderstanding. > Do you try to > 1) fix/change Lazarus 1.2.6 > 2) fix/change Lazarus 0.9.31 i'm use several version of lazarus >> Lazarus 0.9.31  is very old, any reason why you still use it? yes, i'm stil use it! >> File  components\synedit\synedit.pp edit TCustomSynEdit.WMMouseWheel() ... first - this not work !!!  still step - 14 lines/line second - it's wrong approach - edit component framework - the core so you can "ruin everything" my opinion: it is necessary to edit/patch - to the point where the work is with this instance of the window editor thanks currently the only problem with older version 0.9.31 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2014-10-18 15:36 Do you have eoHalfPageScroll enabled? Tools > Options > Editor General : Half page Scrolling Not sure if it is the same in 0.9.31, I do not use that anymore, so I do not know. But I pointed you to the procedure that handles this, and you can debug it, if you want. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JuhaManninen · 2014-10-18 23:58 Quote from: sunjob on October 18, 2014, 05:27:25 pm>> Lazarus 0.9.31  is very old, any reason why you still use it? yes, i'm stil use it! Yes but _why_ do you use it? Quotecurrently the only problem with older version 0.9.31 Then you should update for a new version obviously. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sunjob · 2014-10-19 01:01 Thank you, but no, without explanation Need a normal solution for the old version Will still use the old version... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- taazz · 2014-10-19 01:18 Quote from: sunjob on October 19, 2014, 03:01:15 amThank you, but no, without explanation Need a normal solution for the old version Ok here are two very goods reasons for you, 1) 0.9.x version is not supported any longer. 2) there are a tone of bugs fixed from your version to 1.2.6 and even more code changes that renders any bugs questionable. Are those enough for you?
