Lazarus won't compile lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- panoss · 2014-10-07 07:02 I 've installed Lazarus 1.2.4 on Slacko Linux 5.7. It doesn't compile. (I mean tTools->Configure Build Lazarus->Build. Any combination, clean all, Build up & clean all, etc..) I 've tried all the compilation combinations, nothing works. No error message shows up. What can I do? Edit: I just read in the FAQ:  I can't compile Lazarus    1.Check if the compiler is the correct version    2.Check if the (fpc) libraries are from the same version    3.Check if the compiler installation path has spaces in it. Make sure it doesn't!    4.Check if you have a fpc.cfg and no old ppc386.cfg    5.Check also the OS-dependent FAQs    6.If you're still stuck, ask on the forum or Lazarus mailing list My FPC is 2.6.4, isn't it the correct version for Lazarus 1.2.4? How do I check if the (fpc) libraries are from the same version? I found fpc.cfg at /etc/, so i guess #4 is ok.?? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Rails · 2014-10-07 12:28 Can you compile anything at all, or is it strictly a build lazarus problem? Does nothing appear in the messages window? Where did your installation packages come from? If they are from your distro's repository, make sure you have all the packages. I'm not familiar with your distribution, but some distros break the Lazarus and FPC installations up into multiple packages. If you installed using the Lazarus project provided packages, make sure you distro's update mechanism hasn't and can't overwrite them with its own packages. If this is a subsequent Lazarus installation or you have made more than one attempt to install Laz, then you may need to remove everything, including configuration files, then reinstall. The packager may not get everything, so it is best to run something like locate lazarus followed by manual deletion(s) to make sure. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- panoss · 2014-10-07 12:58 Quote from: Rails on October 07, 2014, 02:28:26 pmCan you compile anything at all, or is it strictly a build lazarus problem? I 've installed it only once. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ñuño_Martínez · 2014-10-14 07:28 My magic mirror is broken today, so please tell me:  Does it show an error or just doesn't do nothing?
