some issues with porting sunvox header lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- laggyluk · 2013-06-19 01:13 I'm working on a sunvox.dll header tranlation from c++ to fpc. works fine on windows with both static and dynamic linking but on linux it gives me such errors when trying to link in static 'mode': Code: [Select]/usr/bin/ld: warning: /home/luksz/SunVoxPas/test/bin/link.res contains output sections; did you forget -T? /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lsunvox SunVoxTest.lpr(59,1) Error: Error while linking I'm totally fresh to programming under linux so no idea what it means project can be found here: https://github.com/laggyluk/SunVoxPas ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ludob · 2013-06-19 05:58 On linux, when you specify -lsunvox, ld will search for libsunvox.so or libsunvox.a. The sunvox library on linux is named sunvox.so. The easiest solution is to create a symlink libsunvox.so to sunvox.so in your library path. If you are new to linux, watch out for the search algorithm for libraries which is quite different from windows. The current directory is NOT in the library search path per default. See the ld manpage http://unixhelp.ed.ac.uk/CGI/man-cgi?ld and search for LD_LIBRARY_PATH. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- laggyluk · 2013-06-19 11:05 solved, thanks
