Building of Lazarus.pp fails on OpenSuSE 12.2 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- hbanko · 2012-11-20 03:26 I am on Lazarus 1.02 and must say that I am impressed of the project. This could be my future platform, as I loved Delphi in the past and this is a lot more powerful than a Monodevelop for example... But what I don't like is this multi window UI. I found out that the solution would be AnchdorDock 0.6. Figured out how to install it, but unfortunately the re-build of the IDE fails: Code: [Select]Compiling resource /home/hb/.lazarus/units/x86_64-linux/gtk2/lazarus.or /usr/lib64/lazarus/ide/lazarus.pp(133,1) Error: Error while compiling resources. Compile with -vd for more details. Check for duplicates. Tried it as user as in the example above and as Root. Didn't work. Thats really sad. It also means, that I will not be able to use "any" package. The compilation of projects seems to work. Just tried something simple. These are the fpc versions: Code: [Select]fpc-2.6.0-3.1.x86_64 fpc-src-2.6.0-3.1.x86_64 Any ideas how I can fix that? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- hbanko · 2012-11-20 06:35 When I am not mistaken, it is the same issue discussed here: http://pl.digipedia.org/usenet/thread/13232/29347/ What fails is the linking of lazarus.or because of a function change in GTK2 2.10. I also download the SVN version, can compile and use Lazarus from the SVN. But adding a packages fails as well, with linking lazarus.or. HELP ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2012-11-20 07:31 If compiling SVN snapshots gives you trouble, you may want to try to download and install a recent Lazarus snapshot (link to the left) and see what happens.
