Lazarus 0.9.30.4 / Ubuntu 12.04: can not switch between code editor

Problem: as soon as I running a debugging session, switching between
code editor tabs is no longer possible.

If I terminate the debug session, the problem persists.
Also, I can not open a new source file (file dialog seems to be
broken).

If I restart the IDE everything works fine again.

Is this a known problem?

update: I checked it in RC1 and found it is fixes there, the bug
report is closed now.
