I can not install libgdk-pixbuff2.0 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- joaobrito · 2012-05-17 17:11 Good afternoon, guys I'm having a little problem I downloaded the debian package lazarus-0.9.30.4.i386.deb.tar, installed 14 of the 24 installed, but when I went to install the package lazarus-0.9.30.4-ide he told me I was missing the package libgdk-pixfbuf2.0, I downloaded and tried to install it says libc6 is not installed on my manager was more adept and he is installed as I'm a hustle I downloaded libc6 debian and tried to install it says missing package libc-bin, I downloaded the libc-bin and guess what, he says he could not install because it would spoil the libc6. I did not understand anything. I use ubuntu 8.04 and work in a school where I can not change the Linux program. I have in my repository adept lazarus older, I can not update at all adept at the terminal or if someone can help me thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2012-05-17 17:36 You have to use the package manager to install the dependencies. Ubuntu by default aren't equipped with development tools/libraries thus would require you to download a bunch of packages for it. You could try downloading and installing one by one, but it would take a long time (one package might depends on several packages where each depends on another bunch of packages and so on...). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- braximo · 2012-05-18 01:49 Lazarus is specifically looking for the .so files. The pixbuf file is installed at the /usr/lib/ directory but the extension is not .so (i think it is .so.0.2000.1) create a link to it and just give it a .so extension or just create a copy and remove the .0.2000.1 leaning extensions ---------------------------------------------------------------------- joaobrito · 2012-05-24 14:56 well sorry for the delay but I'm working hard, answering Leledumbo I use the package manager, and installed most of the 24 packages, fourteen for sure, plus it asks to install the package libgdk in order to finish the installation of Lazarus, the manager says the package is installed over libc6 when I enter the lazarus-ide to install libgdk he says that needs to be installed and when I go in the package libgdk it says libc6 is not installed and as I said it is already installed. And answering braximo I think you know the way, but I'm new to Linux, but even so, I install deb programs, the terminal at own package and when you have the repository I get it, teach me how to install this file libgdk -pixbuf. I believe that will be 99.9% of the problem solved. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2012-05-24 16:07 Quotethe manager says the package is installed over libc6 when I enter the lazarus-ide to install libgdk he says that needs to be installed and when I go in the package libgdk it says libc6 is not installed and as I said it is already installed.ensure you install the ones ending with -dev (e.g. libc6-dev, libgdk-pixbuf2.0-dev, libgtk2.0-dev, etc). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- braximo · 2012-05-25 00:34 all libraries of lazarus are in /usr/lib (Ubuntu) terminal: sudo ln -s /usr/lib/ /usr/lib/libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so I think there would be other libraries that are not in .so extension. So just like pixbuf, just look for the file lazarus would be looking and redo the process. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- joaobrito · 2012-05-25 16:55 expensive braximo the problem libgdk-pixbuff2.0 is still on my Desktop as a debian package not yet installed as I can go in / usr / lib if it is in home / teacher / Desktop???
