[SOLVED]Cross Compile lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- braximo · 2012-05-15 08:07 Hello community! I successfully installed lazarus 0.9.30.4 and fpc2.6.0.1 to my lucid lynx desktop. I followed the link at the wiki http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Cro ss_compiling_for_Win32_under_Linux (regarding cross compiling) but when I reach the compiling of the snapshot, a message occurs: cant find binutils-i686-win32 for FPC-i386-Win32 Or is there another way to do this. Pls help... tnx ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2012-05-15 09:06 It shouldn't be needed, cross compiling to win32 from lin32 should be done totally by the compiler. No external assembler/linker needed. Except if you compile from 64-bit linux instead of 32-bit. Anyway, where did you get that message? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- braximo · 2012-05-15 09:11 Will try that one out. Got the error message after executing the command: sh buildcrossbinutils.sh ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2012-05-15 09:21 Open up the .sh file, find that message and it's corresponding condition (i.e. what it tries to do and fail such that the message appears). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- braximo · 2012-05-16 01:06 The binaries are still needed when cross compiling from lin32 to win32. I got the error: The project uses target OS=Win32 and CPU=i386 (etc...) Wait... When executing the builcrossbinutil.sh i get this error: cannot remove ./config.cache. No such file or directory then Failed Targets ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2012-05-16 07:08 What if you just skip binutils building part? Build the RTL/FCL/LCL/packages directly for Win32 and try to compile a project for it (at least that's what I've been doing lately). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- braximo · 2012-05-16 07:36 Could you instruct me sir on what to do? This is whats keeping me with 09.30 to upgrade to 0.9.30.4. Please... Tnx... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2012-05-16 15:23 From your console, open up fpc source directory (I have no idea where you/your package manager put it since I built everything from source and customize their location), then type (assuming you have the full source tree instead of just packages and rtl): Quotemake all OS_TARGET=win32 && sudo make install INSTALL_PREFIX=You can then simply select win32 target OS from compiler option. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- braximo · 2012-05-17 05:46 I had problems with it. So i just got all the windows dependencies and dumped them to my linux box. Thanks for the guides...
