Compiling Lazarus BigIDE on Chakra Linux lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Frontier · 2012-03-07 17:16 Hello, I am trying to install build Lazarus BigIDE on Chakra Linux. Since this distribution has no GTK2 libraries, Qt4 (Qt 4.8.0) is used. After reading the wiki, I have successfully managed to compile FPC v2.7.1 and Lazarus SmallIDE 0.9.31 (SVN 35557). The IDE works fine using Qt4 (all bindings installed) and I've compiled some simple Lazarus Qt4 projects successfully. I understand that Qt4 does not support fpc OpenGL units, so the idea is to exclude the OpenGL support in BigIDE. When I try to build the BigIDE using the following command Code: [Select]make bigide LCL_PLATFORM=qt OPT="-gl" I get the following error Code: [Select]... Compiling lazopenglcontext.pas Compiling openglcontext.pas Compiling glgtkglxcontext.pas Fatal: Can't find unit Gtk2Def used by GLGtkGlxContext Fatal: Compilation aborted make[2]: *** [lazopenglcontext.ppu] Error 1 ... The error suggests that somehow there are GTK2 dependencies while building components, despite specifying LCL_PLATFORM=qt. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Many thanks in advance. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zeljko · 2012-03-10 13:25 1. I'm building trunk lazarus for qt minimum 5 times a day and never had such problem, so first try: make bigideclean  && make bigide LCL_PLATFORM=qt 2. -gl have nothing with opengl.
