lazarus not starting without error message lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- restcoser · 2012-02-29 20:21 I installed Lazarus via apt-get on my Linux Mint 10.4. But the command startlazarus results in: Code: [Select]restcoser@Semmelkorb / $ startlazarus [WARNING] Out of OEM specific VK codes, changing to unassigned [WARNING] Out of unassigned VK codes, assigning $FF TLazarusManager.Run starting /usr/lib/lazarus/0.9.28.2/lazarus ... restcoser@Semmelkorb / $ it shows the lazarus startup banner, after that the banner disappears and nothing happens... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2012-02-29 20:25 Try the BugTracker. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- restcoser · 2012-02-29 20:35 Sry, I'm new here, I don't know what bugtracker you are talking of... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bart · 2012-02-29 22:54 I'm not sure he should report a 0.9.28 problem in the bugtracker, current stable version is 0.9.30.2 ... The messages about VK codes are not relevant AFAIK. Does the file /usr/lib/lazarus/0.9.28.2/lazarus exist? Is it executable? What processes are running aftre you tried starting lazarus (ps ax)? Bart ---------------------------------------------------------------------- restcoser · 2012-03-01 06:26 That's strange. The file is a softlink to a directory, and therefore not executable... That links to /etc/alternatives/lazarus. Inside there is an executable named lazbuild (O_o could that be something I need to run?) and another directory named tools with several executables in it. After I tried starting lazarus, I looked for a process named something with lazarus, but I think there is nothin g. The processlist is below.
