creating a qt executable from Lazarus gtk2 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin V · 2011-11-22 09:01 I have got a gtk2 Lazarus on Ubuntu 10.04 installed and want to create a qt version of my application. The compiler creates an error message where I get requested to install lqt4pas. In a forum entry, I got told that this should work: sudo apt-get install libqt4pas-dev but this does not work: (tried to translate error message from german to english) Package libqt4pas-dev not available, but gets referenced by another package. That means, the package is missing or has expired or can be installed from another source. E: Package libqt4pas-dev has no Installation candidate Any idea? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TurboRascal · 2011-11-22 10:32 I confirm that package exists by that name in Ubuntu Oneiric; however, in Ubuntu it's in the Universe repository, which might not be used by your system since it's not active by default. Look in Software Sources, and if Universe is not checked, and if not, check it and try again. If that doesn't help and you have an older Ubuntu version, then perhaps the package is called differently. In that case try searching for a simila package using apt-cache (man apt cache ) or synaptic. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin V · 2011-11-25 17:27 I have got Ubuntu 10.04 which has Synaptic included. In Synaptic, I have checked the "universe" checkbox, but no libqt* packages are shown. Any idea? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TurboRascal · 2011-11-27 07:27 You're right, that package does not exist in Lucid, unfortunately I don't know which package provides the Qt Pascal binding and if any such exists... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2011-11-27 08:12 Just download manually: http://users.telenet.be/Jan.Van.hijfte/qtforfpc/fpcqt4.html
