Can't find unit DefineTemplat lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred vS · 2011-10-03 10:06 Hello everybody. I get that message when i re-compile Lazarus. Quote/usr/lib/lazarus/0.9.30/ide/lazconf.pp(1,1) Fatal: Can't find unit DefineTemplates used by LazConf The re-compilation is ok but that message is not very sexy... What are that templates ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- panoss · 2011-11-18 06:00 I'm also having this message when I try to install a component in Lazarus. Or when I'm trying to build Lazarus. Is there a solution? I haven't found any. I'm using puppy linux 528  Lazarus v0.9.30-0 & FPC 2.4.2. In puppy linux I'm always entering as root. Maybe has something to do with write permissions? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- panoss · 2011-11-18 13:15 The problem was caused because I changed the option in Tools>Configure "Build Lazarus">IDE form "Build" to "Build+Clean". The same happens when the checkbox "Clean All" is checked. For some reason, Lazarus is allergic to it's IDE "Cleaning". I uninstalled Lazarus, deleted file /usr/lib/lazarus/ and reinstalled Lazarus. It's ok now but i never clean the IDE, as described above! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred vS · 2011-11-18 17:36 @ panoss : well seen. @ Lazarus gurus : any cure for that ? Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- velissariouc · 2012-03-07 18:09 compile package CodeTools
