Compil with GTK1 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred vS · 2011-08-07 17:44 Hello everybody. I try to compil Lazarus with GTK1 without luck. What must i install ? If i do Code: [Select]sudo apt-get install libgtk1.2-devi get a error message (do not find the file)... Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2011-08-07 18:00 IIRC, GTK1 is not supported anymore on newer Lazarus versions but might still work. No idea about what libs you'd have to install though. Did you do a wiki search? (And, why don't you compile for Gtk2 - do you have some ancient platform to support perhaps?) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred vS · 2011-08-07 18:32 @ Big Chimp : thanks forn your answer. Quote(And, why don't you compile for Gtk2 - do you have some ancient platform to support perhaps?) Because of ... http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,13893.0.html And i want to try if GTK1 goes better... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2011-08-08 09:53 Ok, I understand that GTK2 (or more probably the Lazarus bindings), or possibly your program has a resource problem that only shows up after hours or continuous running. I do see why you would want to try using Gtk1, but wouldn't you have distribution problems then? Users would have to install gtk1 libs before running your application... Might be a good idea to ask on the Lazarus mailing list if people can help you fix the GTK2 problems, or continue your Qt conversion... (Sorry that I don't have an answer to your actual question, no experience there) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred vS · 2011-08-08 23:06 QuoteUsers would have to install gtk1 libs before running your application... Ooops, that do not help me, i gonna have distribution problems of course. Ok, i only gonna give a Qt version for Linux. Many thanks for your help.
