Instaling lazarus 0.9.30 on ubunut 11.04 32bits lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- everton · 2011-08-03 17:49 I download the .deb.tar files to install 0.9.30 lazarus and freepascal. The freepascal fpc_2.4.2-0_all.deb was sucessful. But the lazarus lazarus-0.9.30_0.9.30-0_all.deb returned the error: dependency is not satisfiable: lazarus-ide-0.9.30 (>= 0.9.30-0). How can a pack return error? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lainz · 2011-08-03 19:59 Quote from: everton on August 03, 2011, 07:49:56 pmI download the .deb.tar files to install 0.9.30 lazarus and freepascal. How can a pack return error? lazarus ubuntu install is very difficult I've installed lazarus svn with fpc svn with this script: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Installing_Lazarus#Ubuntu_11.04_or_ later But if you understand this try: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Lazarus_release_version_for_Ubuntu Getting lazarus from the application downloader? (is not the exact name, I don't have installed ubuntu now..) always get 0.9.28 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- eny · 2011-08-03 20:41 http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,13561.msg70926.html# msg70926 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- cpalx · 2011-08-03 22:57 i dont think is difficult. I do this 1. i download the fpc.deb  from http://www.hu.freepascal.org/lazarus/ 2. i unpacked and from terminal i install them something like :  sudo dpkg -i *deb. 3. i install the dependences: sudo apt-get -f install 4. then i download the souce code of lazarus  in (1) 5. i unpacked 6. I compile :  make clean all 7. then i can run. optional 1. i unpacket the lazarus in /usr/lib/lazarus/  [i create the dir] and make full permission [ more than 666 -> 777] 2. i make a simboliclink in /usr/bin Never fails ---------------------------------------------------------------------- everton · 2011-08-04 12:07 cpalx I'm gone do exactly as you spoke. Soon i report the results. Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- everton · 2011-08-04 12:25 This worked out: 1) Go to downloads (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=89339) For 64-bit Ubuntu: http://sourceforge.net/projects/lazarus/files/Lazar us%20Linux%20amd64%20DEB/Lazarus%200.9.30/ Install fpc 2) download FPC (fpc-2.4.2-0.amd64.deb.tar for 64-bit Ubuntu) 3) unpack, and go to unpacked directory 4) dpkg -i * (this will install all debs) Install Lazarus 2) download Lazarus (lazarus-0.9.30.amd64.deb.tar for 64-bit Ubuntu) 3) unpack, and go to unpacked directory 4) dpkg -i * (this will install all debs) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lainz · 2011-08-04 16:08 Well was difficult for me the first time being a new linux user. Difficult compared to lazarus installer for Windows (Next > Next > Install... > Finish). The Ubuntu application manager is very simple just put 'install' and the OS do the job, but has only lazarus 0.9.28. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- everton · 2011-08-04 18:54 Despite i've installed the 0.9.3 in ubuntu with dpkg -i * now I can't instal components within packages because return error in recompile lazarus.
