[SOLVED] Cannot install components in Lazarus (Ubuntu 11.04)

Hi there,

I'm trying to install components into my Lazarus installation on
Ubuntu & I got the following error:

Code: [Select]Error: Can't create object file:
/home/jd/.lazarus/units/i386-linux/lazconf.o

My Lazarus installation has the following properties

Lazarus: 0.9.31
Date: 2011-07-07
FPC Version: 2.4.4
Svn

The SVN version is missing but I downloaded & installed it yesterday,
27th July 2011.

You can check file owner and permissions for all files in
/home/jd/.lazarus/units/i386-linux/
If owner is "root" rather than "jd", you can delete all these files
and try to install your component once again.
