Lazarus 0.9.30 on Debian Sid(testing)

Hello,

It's just to say, i just installed Lazarus 0.9.30 from Deb files on my
Debian Sid,
i'm really impressed by the speed of compilation of my projects, it's
about 4 times faster than on Linux Mint and Ubuntu (my old linux
distros).

Has anyone else notice that speed? and does anyone have any
explanation?

Probably in Mint and Ubuntu you were using a heavy window manager
which consumed a lot of RAM, so there was little RAM for the compiler,
assembler and linker. In Debian with a lighter window manager there
would be more RAM available. Just a guess.
