how to copy in linux clipboard ?

Hello,

i use lazarus 0.9.29 #28187 with ubuntu 10.04

when I want to copy to the clipboard linux it does not work, for this
command saves many to the clipboard lazarus

Here is my code:

   clipbrd;

procedure Tfrm_a_propos.Label1Click(Sender: TObject);
begin

clipboard.AsText:='xxxxx@gmail.com';
showmessage('Adresse mail enregistrée dans le presse papier');

end;

Works well here, Kubuntu 10.10, 64-bit, Laz. 28644 + FPC 2.5.1

clipboard.AsText:='xxxxx@gmail.com';

I have normally: xxxxx@gmail.com in my clipboard.

What do you mean "for this command saves many to the clipboard
lazarus" ?
