starting problem lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- erector · 2009-12-19 19:05 Hi. I try to use Lazarus 0.9.28 on Red Hat Linux (2.4.20-8smp) To embody this I'd build three packages Code: [Select]fpc-2.2.4-0.i386.rpm fpc-src-2.2.4-0.i386.rpm lazarus-0.9.28-0.i386.rpm Packages built in Linux without anomalies. But the startlazarus command done strange result: Code: [Select][root@localhost root]# startlazarus startlazarus: relocation error: startlazarus: undefined symbol: gtk_tool_button_get_type [root@localhost root]# How to correct this error? What gtk library is needing for it? Where is it? on http://sourceforge.net/projects/lazarus/files/ I cannot see anything  named gtk, I'd download all of this in a bookmark for Linux i386 ROM Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2009-12-19 19:25 What is the gtk2 version? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- erector · 2009-12-19 19:47 gtk2-2.2.1-4 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2009-12-19 20:00 You need at least gtk 2.8. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2009-12-20 15:05 Then in this case it's better that you use lazarus + gtk1 If you don't wan't to recompile lazarus, use lazarus 0.9.26. This is the last version which has gtk1 by default. Seen the age of your distro, there is a big chance that gtk1 is available. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- erector · 2010-01-13 12:34 This problem had been dicided! I had many times of set it to a good work and had a decision to good bye with linux ASP on Red Hat Core. And now I am using openSuSE 11.0  and making happy! What's the problem in red hat linux and why i'd not setup lazarus correctly in it stays for me as mystery.
