failed dependencies while instaling 0.9.28.2 rpm on mandriva 2010.0 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- iorek · 2009-11-08 09:17 Hi! I have dowloaded latest lazarus and fpc rpm packages from SF. Code: [Select]# ls *rpm fpc-2.2.4-0.i386.rpm  fpc-src-2.2.4-0.i386.rpm  lazarus-0.9.28.2-0.i586.rpm Installation of fpc and fpc-src was flawless, while I have problems with lazarus: Code: [Select]# rpm -ivh lazarus-0.9.28.2-0.i586.rpm napaka: Failed dependencies:         fpc = 2.2.4-20091026 is needed by lazarus-0.9.28.2-0.i586 I can install it with --nodeps option, but at firs run lazarus can't find fpc source and lazarus directory. After that lazarus seems to run fine. I thought that stable lazarus rpm package is built with latest stable fpc? Or has it been built with fpc snapshot? Is that intentional or is that a mistake? LP, Tomaž ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LazaruX · 2009-11-12 07:50 I don't know which is the last stable release, I think the fpc- src-2.2.4-20091026 is just a bug fix release of the latest, so this should be the latest. I had your same problem, after downloading this, the dependency was solved. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- hsbelli · 2009-11-27 17:20 hi, i have the same problem. download fpc-2.2.4-2mdv2009.1.src.rpm install it, but i dont install lazarus-0.9.28.2-0.i586.rpm because i have the same error write  in this post. Obviously, the required "fpc = 2.2.4-20091026" is a daily snapshot, anyway. They run just fine.
