Lazarus 0.9.28.2 and RPM 4.4.6 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LazaruX · 2009-11-05 14:19 I was trying to install version 0.9.28.2 but cannot install it because it says it needs a later version of RPM. Does somebody know how to update RPM? I downloaded the tar file from the rpm website, but don't know how to install it. If i install Lazarus with the --nodeps option, it will install, but show me a broken package in Synaptic System is: PCLinuxOS 2009 32 bit ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LazaruX · 2009-11-06 15:14 Isn't anybody having this problem? I think it's because lazarus was packaged with a later version of RPM. Is there a reason for that? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- clauslack · 2009-11-06 18:47 Can you check the size of lazarus-0.9.28.2-0.i586.rpm (63 Mb) I download this, but with size of 24 mb......... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LazaruX · 2009-11-08 21:58 This is the exact message i get: rpmlib(FileDigests) <= 4.6.0-1 is needed by lazarus-0.9.28.2-0.i586 I made an error on the subject of the post. The size of my downloaded rpm is: 63 mb Any suggestions or link on how to fix this rpm hell? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LazaruX · 2009-11-12 07:53 It seems like I am the only one writing in this topic, :-(, no help??? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bandbaz · 2009-11-12 13:24 I had this problem. I removed all packages about lazarus and fpc and then installed again. (from the 63 mb file - not synaptic) packages in synaptic were old for lazarus 0.9.28.2 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- alter · 2009-11-12 14:00 Quote from: BPsoftware on November 08, 2009, 10:58:17 pmThis is the exact message i get: rpmlib(FileDigests) <= 4.6.0-1 is needed by lazarus-0.9.28.2-0.i586 I made an error on the subject of the post. You should ask the provider of the pkg to [re]build it with these rpmmacros enabled %_source_filedigest_algorithm 0 %_binary_filedigest_algorithm 0 then it will work on rhel5. --
