Qt on Linux lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tk · 2009-10-23 07:32 Hi, I'm trying to install Qt on Linux to compile my projects under Qt there. I compiled and installed Qt and added all those paths but the linker still doesn't find the usr/local/Trolltech/../lib folder where the compiled libraries are located. I can link only if -rpath is specified as linker options. How to avoid this, i.e. I don't want add this -rpath option for every project. If I type echo $PATH I get: /usr/local/Trolltech/Qt-4.5.3/lib:/usr/local/sbin:... etc. Thanks TK ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zeljko · 2009-10-23 08:52 export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/local/Trolltech/lib or  add to your $HOME/.bash_profile export PATH=$PATH:YOUR_ADDON_PATH ---------------------------------------------------------------------- alter · 2009-10-23 13:28 Curiousity: What dsitribution you are using? Most actual have packages for KDE 4.3 which means those distribution also have packages with Qt 4.5 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Troodon · 2009-11-25 21:03 Has anyone been able to successfully compile an application using the qt widgetset and the qt4.5.x library on Ubuntu 9.10? FPC 2.5.1 Or did you also mean compiling Qt 4.5 framework ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Troodon · 2009-11-25 21:32 Quote from: Blaazen on November 25, 2009, 10:30:06 pmOr did you also mean compiling Qt 4.5 framework ? No, I installed Qt4.5 from the repositories (including the dev packages). The Lazarus LCL for Qt builds OK. It's when I try compiling the application that I get the error messages. I will try a nightly build. (ups! there are no fpc-2.3.1 or higher .deb daily snapshots)
