Ubuntu debs lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Dibo · 2009-10-20 10:54 I am a novice user of Linux. Previously, I installed Lazarus downloading rpms and convert them to deb using Alien and installation proceeded without problems. Now I see that in the daily snapshots are generated deb package too. However, as I extract TAR archive that I have plenty of FPC DEB packages. Now I don't know how to install them because every moment I get an error that a package depends on another package (which is located in the same directory). Anyway, I am curious how to install Lazarus standard DEB packages too ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TurboRascal · 2009-11-05 15:03 Quote from: Surachet on October 20, 2009, 02:29:29 pm they ask libgtk2.0-dev I try to install libgtk2.0-dev_2.16.1-0ubuntu2_i386.deb do not work . for File three will ask libogg I try to install libogg- dev_1.1.3-2_i386.deb also can not. Please help If you got to the situation that you install libraries such as those two from .deb files, you're doing something wrong. You should simply install libgtk2.0-dev from e.g. Synaptic and it should resolve all the other dependencies automatically. Same goes for the command line approach like "sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-dev". Of course, installing Lazarus from the repository resolves all dependencies automatically from the start.
