The Free Pascal source directory was not found - Where is my FPascal installed? lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dotniet · 2009-10-09 10:58 I had dig problems installing Lazarus 0.9.28. I got all kind of problems related to packages and stuff. Finally, only the SVN version worked. The problem now is that Lazarus cannot find the source directory for FP. But it works. It compiles programs. Should I worry about the "The Free Pascal source directory was not found" that I see on the screen every time I start Lazarus? If yes, how can I find that folder? --------------- PS: can anyone name a specific FP file (one that has unique name) so I can search for it on my entire drive? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- aliotti · 2009-10-09 11:22 If you use linux, distribuition debian/ubuntu, the directory is /usr/share/fpsrc/ in my machine is 2.2.4.    Or if your sytem operational is windows in directory of lazarus has the directory fpc. Have a good day. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dotniet · 2009-10-09 12:15 Yes. Ubuntu. No. The files are not there. I have used the "fpc-2.2.4" package. The one that has an "install.sh" file to install it. It contains units-fcl-passrc.i386-linux.tag.gz which seems to contain the needed source files. The installation went ok. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- aliotti · 2009-10-09 13:14 try download  ftp://ftp.hu.freepascal.org/pub/lazarus/fpc-2.2.4-3.i386.deb.tar its contains the installers(.deb) to freepascal and its source. good bye.
