Gtk1 on some Linux packages

Following the instructions I just installed Lazarus 9.0.26 on Acer
One. Yesterday I did the same under Ubuntu 9.04. Is there any reason
why gtk1 is the default widget set on boths packages?

Because the other options are not as good (gtk2, qt was not as stable
as gtk1). Moreover qt requires extra dependencies.

Lazarus 0.9.28, the upcoming release has gtk2 as default.
