Two Lazarus in one Linux lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Blaazen · 2009-08-02 14:26 Hello, I have Kubuntu Linux and I'd like to have Lazarus installed twice in my system - with fpGUI and with Qt4.5. Reason is that I migrated fron Vista to KDE and my project now differs a little in different widgets when I run it in Linux, so I'd like to have full compatibility. I had big problems to install Lazarus, however now it works, but not together. I think there's problem because both use the same ./lazarus configuration. Is there any HowTo(manual page) or any standart way how to do it? I use Laz 0.9.27 from svn, FPC 2.2.4, fpGUI from git, QT4.5. I have right version of libqt4intf.so, I have directories "gui" and "corelib" from fpGUI linked to lazarus/lcl/intefaces/fpgui, there's no problem. I have both Lazarus directories in /home/. Usually I use command make PREFIX=/usr clean all LCL_PLATFORM=qt OPT="-dUSE_QT_45" and it works. Then I compile second with fpGUI, it works. I when I try again run Laz. with Qt, it show me logo picture and then nothing or it makes other problems. Thanks for any help. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2009-08-02 20:06 Quote from: Blaazen on August 02, 2009, 04:26:25 pmIs there any HowTo(manual page) or any standart way how to do it? I can use different versions of Lazarus and different widgetsets in each account, only project files are shared. It's simple and makes no conflict of /.lazarus directory. Thanks for help. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2009-09-02 08:43 to use different .lazarus dirs you can also start lazarus with ./lazarus --pcp=/your/path/to/a/config/dir
