lazarus 386pc cross compile to arm lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- picstart · 2009-06-10 20:34 This was relatively clear for a PC lazarus  to  winCE arm download lazarus-0.9.26.2-fpc-2.2.2-win32.exe Lazarus-0.9.26-fpc-2.2.2-cross-arm-wince-win32.exe write hello world for 386 PC and see it work Project >compile options>path  LCL widget type ...wince(beta) Project > compile options>code target os...WinCe Project > compile options>code target cpu family ...arm Project > compile options>code target processor... default Project > compile options>Linking select only  .... strip symbols Run build all move project executable project1.exe to ce device and run  It worked! Very confused for linux arm For a pC running unbuntu and lazarus 0.9.26  LCL widget type is dfault(gtk) target os and cpu are defaults hello world compiles and runs on the PC now for the confusion the arm device is s2c2440  the gui is qt embedded 2.2.0 selecting Project >compile options>path  LCL widget type ...qt(beta) Project > compile options>code target os...Linux Project > compile options>code target cpu family ...arm Project > compile options>code target processor... default Project > compile options>Linking select only  .... strip symbols results in system.ppu was not found in the FPC directories. Make sure fpc is installed correctly and the fpc.cfg points to the right directory I downloaded fpc-2.2.2.arm-linux.tar but its very confusing as to how to install this correctly and even if installed I don't know if it will allow a lazurus IDE cross compile as occurs with Wince. I am a newbie but was very encouraged when the wince install didn't take me into the weeds. I'm in the weeds with lazarus PC ubuntu and a cross compile to linux arm qt gui ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2009-06-11 09:00 Quotesystem.ppu was not found in the FPC directories. You need to rebuild the rtl for arm linux (or download one). QuoteI downloaded fpc-2.2.2.arm-linux.tar but its very confusing as to how to install this correctlyExtract and move the units directory into your FPC's unit directory (so you should have i386-linux and arm-linux under it). Quoteand even if installed I don't know if it will allow a lazurus IDE cross compile as occurs with WincePerhaps not. You need to build the arm cross compiler (if you have ppcarm along with ppc386, then you already have it). Search wiki or marco's buildfaq to find out how. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mrdebug · 2009-07-22 15:58 Yes, the linux arm installation is very confusing and there isn't 2.2.4 arm pakage version in the site. In the Lazarus snapshot site there are all for Windows but not for Linux On Windows all works well and all is simple to do. I think that che fpc I386 and arm version must be equals but on the site there is only 2.3.1 arm fpc. You are able to make it work? Sorry for my bad english.
