How to make Multi Row tabs? lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- papafreebird · 2009-04-05 18:05 I'm using version 9.27 beta, fpc 2.2.5 svn revision 19201 i386 linux gtk 2 (beta) Converted from an rpm to a deb for Ubuntu Hardy. My question is probably pretty simple but I can't seem to find the answer.  I have an app that will have multiple tabs.  I want to have two rows of tabs and not one row that scrolls left and right. Basically this is what I want (http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/9390/screenshothcbatchguiv14.png) The above was created in borland C++ in windows.  I want to make the same thing with lazarus for a linux binary. I have noticed that tnotebook and ttabcontrol both have multiline options and I have set them both to true but it doesn't seem to make a difference.  The tabs are still only in one row and you have to scroll left and right to see them all. Could anyone offer any suggestions as to how I can accomplish this? Many thanks for your time! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- papafreebird · 2009-04-07 14:42 Bump! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LazaruX · 2009-04-09 14:28 It's a very interesting question, I didn't even know how to reproduce that on Windows. So if anybody could help, then thanks.. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- papafreebird · 2009-04-09 19:55 Will I know that the option nboMultiLine has absolutely no effect either way.  Set it to true or false and it doesn't work at all.  The tabs still just scroll from left to right.  I don't know if I'm just missing a setting or if it is a bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- papafreebird · 2009-04-10 12:18 Just for the heck of it I installed windows through wine and compiled a simple form and I'll be danged if it actually worked but it would only create a win32 binary.  It gave the multiline tabs like I want but only in win32.  I just can't get it to work in the native linux ide. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LazaruX · 2009-08-13 11:39 ...this was an interesting post, any answers maybe? Is it possible in Linux to have multirow tabs? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- papafreebird · 2009-08-13 12:22 Nope.  Never found a way to make a multi row tab in linux.  Too bad also because it's very useful to use them that way.
