Newbie - help needed lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- DelphiGuy · 2009-04-03 17:49 Hi. I am a Delphi developer for over 12 years. I want to do Linux dev work on Lazarus. Can somebody give the details of exactly what to download and how to start. I am using Ubuntu Hardy on a 32bit platform. I have very little Linux experience although I have worked on Unix and understand the concepts of Linux versus Windows. Maybe point me to a newbie FAQ? thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- cpalx · 2009-04-03 17:53 what ubuntu version do you have? in general, i do for Ubuntu i downloaded thr fpc, fpc-src and lazarus (rpm package) then, i convert to deb package with "alien" program, and then i can install making doble click to each file (new deb files) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2009-04-03 18:22 Using the way from the wiki is probably easiest: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Getting_Lazarus#Getting_Lazarus_fro m_our_Ubuntu_repository ---------------------------------------------------------------------- DelphiGuy · 2009-04-06 13:18 Hi.
