Object Inspector comboboxes only show one item

I have just noticed that the comboboxes in the Object Inspector under
Linux only drop down to list one item. This makes it impossible to
change some properties. I didn't notice it before because all the form
designing I have recently done has been under Windows, and then I just
copy the project folder across to the Linux system to recompile it.

This version of Lazarus was created by extracting the source tarball
of the release distribution (not a snapshot) and then compiling it,
since the packaged versions (.rpm, .deb) don't work on my distro.
There is no problem with the programs compiled using this version of
Lazarus, only the IDE is affected. In fact, combo boxes elsewhere in
the IDE are OK, too, it's just the Object Inspector that has this
problem. I've cleaned and rebuilt - no difference.

I'm using FPC Version 2.2.0 according to About Lazarus.
