Lazarus and ZeosDBO component loading lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- otonomi · 2008-11-26 22:47 I am using Lazarus under Pardus which is a kind of Linux for more information about Pardus, please refer to http://www.pardus.org.tr/eng/index.html My question is; I have extracted ZeosDBO component into my Desktop, exact path is  /home/otonomi/Desktop/zeos then, I have installed ZeosDBO by zcomponent.lpk from Lazarus menu Package > Open Package File (.lpk)... so far, so good... the problem is, whenever I start Lazarus, I can not see ZeosDBO component in my component palet... so, I have to load it everytime again and again by Package > Open Recent Package >  zcomponent.lpk which is located on /home/otonomi/Desktop/zeos/packages/lazarus folder... what can I do? in order to see ZeosDBO on my component palete, permanently??? I dont want to load it everytime I start Lazarus... thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- otonomi · 2008-11-26 22:54 by the way, as far as I remember from Delphi, I was copying some bpl files under c:\windows\system folder to see in component palet... is it something like that? do I have to copy some files to somewhere such as  /usr folder? thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- davesimplewear · 2008-11-27 00:59 I would suggest putting your Zeos comont folder in the lazarus component folder then install, that way it is in the path for your units, if you have used delphi , if you installed the component elswhere you had to set the path for it to be visible to the ide. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- otonomi · 2008-11-27 18:48 thanks for your interest... but I already know that I have to put some files to somewhere! please tell me exact lazarus paths to exact destination paths... thanks
