gtk2 in linux Mint 6 RC1 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- davesimplewear · 2008-11-25 10:17 Hi, I have read in this forum about the problems compiling gtk2 in the latest linux kernel, I have downloaded the 027 version of lazarus and 2.3.1 fpc and installed the fpc, but when I compile lazarus with "make clean all" I get the following messages. PPU Invalid Version 94 Fatal: Can't find unit system used by AllLCLUnits Fatal: Compilation aborted make[1]: *** [alllclunits.ppu] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/david/lazarus/lcl' make: *** [lcl] Error 2 can someone help please as I have downloaded and tried for two days to install fpc 2.3.1 and it looks like I finally did but cannot get lazarus to compile despite all the info on the web and these forums.   ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2008-11-26 03:34 It looks like you've got incompatible units. In each major development, the PPU Version increased. And for a program to be compiled ALL units that it used must have the same version. Btw, have you installed ALL fpc compiler, rtl, and packages? Or you just installing the compiler? If the latter, it's normal that you got this error. You need the new rtl and packages also. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- davesimplewear · 2008-11-26 03:58 I had downloaded fpc build from freepascal.org, did make all and make install, then cd to lazarus and ran mak clean all and then get the error, so is the error in the rtl that I assume is in the fpcbuild package? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2008-11-26 04:16 Quoteso is the error in the rtl that I assume is in the fpcbuild package? Perhaps. Try make clean all. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- davesimplewear · 2008-11-27 00:39 I tied that, but with the same result, I then downloaded the latest lazarus 0.9.27 build and tried again but with the same result. Synaptic does not show fpc as being installed, could this be the problem? If so are there any .deb files for fpc 2.3.1 ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Sternas Stefanos · 2008-11-27 20:36 CodeTyphon http://www.pilotlogic.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------- davesimplewear · 2008-11-28 05:46 Thank you Sternas for your input, tried the scripts with no luck. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2008-12-04 11:13 I would recommend asking in the Free Pascal mailling list: http://www.freepascal.org/maillist.var
