Hi,

I have Ubuntu 8.10 installed, Lazarus 0.9.27 and fpc 2.3.1.

I build the lazarus ide against the gtk2 libraries and now I have this
error/bug/feature:
Whenever I use the copy function to copy selected text into the
clipboard my ide closes. When using gtk1 the ide stays open.

This never happened with Ubuntu 8.04.
Does anybody can confirm his behaviour with Ubuntu 8.10 (It even
happens with lazarus 0.9.26) and gtk2?

Yes, I have same problem with Ubuntu 8.10 and Lazarus 0.9.26, GTK2.
Cut/Copy/Paste by any mean (keyboard shortcut. menu, pop-up menu)
terminates Lazarus immediately.
I found there is a reported bug about this issue, so hopefully it will
be fixed soon.

This has now been fixed in Lazarus 0.9.27 (current version from SVN).
