Launching Lazarus programs from .kde/Autostart lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tech-pro · 2008-07-18 22:21 I wrote a password manager using Lazarus. The old one I used was started by a symlink in the $home/.kde/Autostart folder. I deleted that and replaced it with one to my Lazarus program, but it doesn't start when I log in, although it does if I click on the symlink in file manager. Any ideas? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tech-pro · 2008-07-19 17:33 It turns out the program was starting, but it starts minimized and just displays a task bar icon and the icon was not being displayed. I think KDE was starting it before the task bar was ready. I don't know if there is a way to test if the icon is successfully displayed so that you can wait and then try again. I have just stuck a delay in the program before it creates the icon, and that seems to solve the problem.
