I need to improve the look of Lazarus on Debian.

I would like to improve the look of lazarus on Debian. lazarus is
using gtk1. How do I force it to use the better looking controls of
KDE? The look is so ugly that it is preventing me from using it!
Moreover, fonts are poorly rendered and too big to fit. I tried to
solve the problem by running lazarus as root and rebuilding it but
nothing happened.

Rebuild using gtk2 might help.

I found a "How to". I will try it as soon as I can. If it works, I
will post it on this forum.
