Refresh Memory Please - GetCursorPos lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JCRocks · 2008-06-06 04:16 First let me say I'm glad I found this site today. I developed with Delphi a few years ago. I wrote many software testing programs for Telecomm companies. Anyway, I've installed Lazarus on my Ubuntu computer and it seems to be working great. I've compiled some tests and really enjoy this again. I'm trying to use GetCursorPos and I'm getting - Error: Identifier not found "GetCursorPos". What unit should I include in the uses section? Thanks Again - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2008-06-06 07:40 LCLIntf ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Phil · 2008-06-06 13:43 Quote from: "JCRocks"First let me say I'm glad I found this site today. Thanks Again - Functions like GetCursorPos are Windows API functions. With Delphi you would include Windows unit to use these functions. With Lazarus LCL, a subset of Win API functions are provided in LclIntf. These are cross- platform too so you can use them with OS X and Windows too. Thanks. -Phil ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tech-pro · 2008-06-10 22:14 I think the function you want is called GetCaretPos. The way I found this (and an example of its usage) was to type into Google "delphi get cursor position". The only thing to watch for when looking at Delphi stuff is that it isn't Windows-specific. But Lazarus didn't give an error, so I assume it isn't (though I haven't compiled that code under Linux yet.)
