Got Lazarus & all its files but had to go back & get the FPC files and install.  Works fine now. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- otonomi · 2008-05-25 22:23 what the hell isthis problem??? no one can solve this? I have setup ubuntu 8.04 several times and try many of solutions shown by many people! unfortunately, none of the sentence solved this problem! here is my last question, by many of developers; is there any one in this world, that show us following steps; 1. setup fresh ubuntu 8.04 2. run command1, command2, etc... 3. that is all ??? thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Phitherek_ · 2008-09-05 20:28 This is instruction how to make Lazarus work on fresh Ubuntu 8.04: 1. Run Synaptic. 2. Search "lazarus" in Synaptic and install all found packages. 3. Search "fpc" in Synaptic and install all found packages without the last on the list. 4. Lazarus is working. Sorry for my English, I' m from Poland ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Sternas Stefanos · 2008-09-07 19:08 Dear Sir (otonomi) I think your problem is that your installation of FreePascal NOT have all Files (*.pp,*.pas) This happen because you are using <>, is very OLD. For solution I think, you must build Lazarus and FreePascal from latest SVN source. Please read all my    <<(HowTo):Ubuntu 8.04 ...>> posts are all step- by-step procedures. Sorry for the delay
