Lazarus + Hardy + GLScene - Error: "Can't Find libc&quo lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sundrop · 2008-04-27 16:05 Howdy fine folks, I'm trying to get GLScene working with Lazarus, but it's a struggle.  I got Lazarus+FreePascal2.2 working on Ubuntu Hardy, using the repositories! Now, I've tried both the GLScene1.0.0.2 download, and the SVN, but both give the same error: componenteditors.pas(89,2) Fatal: Can't find unit libc used by GLCrossPlatform How is this resolved?  Is there a dependency missing? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2008-04-28 07:09 libc is a i386-linux unit only. I don't know if you are using 32 bits or 64 bits linux. Nevertheless, AFAIK at least two glscene for lazarus maintainers use 64 bits CPUs. Maybe you can contact them on #glcene at irc.freenode.net. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Almindor · 2008-04-28 13:45 GLScene doesn't work on 64bit CPUs due to assempler being used and some other issues (mainly manpower and motivation). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sundrop · 2008-04-28 15:36 Yes I am using a 64bit machine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sundrop · 2008-05-01 18:06 Is there any way to run Lazarus IDE inside a 32 bit emulator? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JohnS · 2008-05-16 14:53 I am also getting the error componenteditors.pas(89,2) Fatal: Can't find unit libc used by GLCrossPlatform under Linux. Is there a solution to this problem? I'll try the IRC channel next, but I need to learn how to use it first. Thanks
