When I try to start Lazarus I get this:

This can be an error in language file (missing %s in a string
maybe)...
Is Lazarus executed, without error, in English language?

I couldn't reproduce this with Lithuanian language in v.0.9.24 and
last SVN revision (WinXP)...

What version are you using?

I tryed to make SVN (v0.9.25). When I try ./lazarus, I get this:

I found:
What is required for lazarus:
- FreePascal - the FreePascal Compiler plus packages plus fpc sources.
               IMPORTANT: try to get the same version of the sources
and the
                          installed compiler.
- Under Linux/xxxBSD: gtk libaries - Most distributions already
install them.
     See www.gtk.org. You need gtk 1.x. The new gtk2 is not yet
supported.

I can't install gtk 1.x, can this couse this problem?

Maybe you have old files and you need a clean build: make clean all

Also, try building for gtk2 instead:

make clean all LCL_PLATFORM=gtk2

It's not true it isn't supported. I only use gtk2 since years. It just
isn't the default yet due to some bugs.
