coexistence of linux and win32 IDE, crossfpc lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tatamata · 2007-12-18 18:29 I installed fpc 2.2.0, crossfpc and Lazarus IDE (from source) on OpenSuse Linux. In fact I tried to use two separate copies of Lazarus IDE- one compiled for win32 and other for Linux, on the same machine. But, it seems that they interfere with each other. For example, when I tried to add package to Linux copy of IDE, it complained about duplicate files, because the package has been already installed on win32 copy, in a separate folder... Is it possible to use both on the same machine, without interference? Regards, Zlatko ---------------------------------------------------------------------- antonio · 2007-12-19 00:05 AFAIK, it is impossible that Linux copy interferes on Windows copy or vice-versa. Linux and Windows have their own partition on disk and no configuration files on each partition can be used so. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LazaruX · 2007-12-19 11:03 Did you install the Win32 and Linux copies on the same paritions? I use win32 lazarus on Win XP NTFS partition and Lazarus for Linux on SAM linux on ext3 and I never had that kind of prooblems you mean. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tatamata · 2007-12-19 17:27 Sorry guys, I lead you to wrong conclusions, I instaled "fpc- crosswin32" rpm, not not ""crossfpc":) Everything on the same partition, two separate folders for two copies of IDE: one for Linux, compiled with "make clean all", the second one for Windows (Wine) with "make clean all OS_TARGET=win32"...
