I have a thread that sometimes must enter text in a TMemo of the main
form. I get many malfunctions, the TMemo refreshing slowly, it should
do a refresh faster. I tried to synchronize the thread with
CriticalSection without results. What can I do?

You mustn't change the visual stuff in a secondary thread. Make a
procedure and call it whith TThread.Synchronize(@Procedure) in which
you do the visual adjustments.

Otherwise you'll break everything.

What happens if a thread had to leave (crash) without performing
LeaveCriticalSection?

That's why you should use try ... finally ... end;
