Synapse under Linux.

I am trying to write a http server program with Lazarus under Linux.
But I see that synapse to run wants winsock library that in Linux does
not exist.
Can I use synapse in Linux?
How without winsock?

OR you could try using lNet ( http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/lNet
) which already contains a HTTP server

But seriously, use whatever works best for you.
