Ubuntu Repository Unavailable! lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- cyber_python · 2007-09-12 08:06 Hi everybody! Last night I installed Ubuntu (feisty fawn) using Wubi on my PC and then tried to install Lazarus through the repository, following the instructions in the wiki - but I got an error saying that the repository was probably unavailable, so I started firefox and checked it out and it seems that there is no lazarus stable package. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- arwen · 2007-09-12 12:43 I have installed Linux Mint 3.0 an ubuntu derivate and I have the same problem. But exist this repos or not ?? Please, let me know if it doesn't work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- antonio · 2007-09-19 01:34 It doesn't work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2007-09-19 04:08 Yes, a couple hours after I put the files back, the server went down. Try again, when the wiki is back on-line too. (The wiki is on the same server). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2007-09-19 09:42 It is on-line again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mavika · 2007-09-24 06:29 It works, thanks Vincent ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zaher · 2007-09-24 12:34 Is i must have connection to internet for install somthing in Ubuntu? I have dialup at my home. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2007-09-24 12:39 The server is down again :-(. You can test if the server is up, by trying to access the wiki. If that works, then the ubuntu repo should be on-line too. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- crorden · 2007-09-28 19:21 Hello- I was able to load Lazarus onto Ubuntu using the repository. This is very nice. However, I found a bug with DTK2 and want to see if it is in the latest build. Is there a way to get the latest build, rather than the last stable release? -chris ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2007-09-28 19:35 No, there is no repository with the latest build. The reason is, that snapshot are untested and if a bad build (one that destroys projects for example) is in the repository, it is hard to for a user to revert to a previous good version. Snapshot deb builds are planned, but those will not be available for a couple of months. Those could be installed and un-installed manually. I don't know how often the Lazarus testing repository at http://progprak.scale.uni-koeln.de/lazarus/ is updated. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- RudieD · 2007-10-01 17:18 Thanks Vincent !!!! I were looking for that !!!
