questions
thank goodness for search and Google!
(installed in Mandriva Spring one 2007)
I am hoping to also install onto a MAC Mini too
and so then create a program for both Linux ( i have been using
Kylix3)and Mac

I am also hoping to be able to use as much as my windows Delphi  5
code as I can.
If i have the source files to a component in Delphi5, can I then use
that component in Lazarus?
( maybe I need to search the FAQ more yet!)
anyway, hopefully I wont have too many newby questions and I will try
and use the search as much as possible.
Ps, can I send a thankyou donation to the developers of Lazarus?

ok, compiling error
i thought i had installed the X11, but there was missing links...must
be the problem....I will try selecting the alternative dependency
options
( i am getting the cannot find -lx11 error ....doing more digging
humm, i did the symbolic links,....still no go
i notice the directory structure is
/usr/X11R6/lib/x11
?

ok, i see i had to update the package list...going that...then will
try again
oh, good, packages being found and installed now!
good!
now compiled a "Hello world!"
