When using the 0.9.22-0.i386.rpm, I get a message from the system about dependancies for - libgdk-1.2.so.0 - libgdk_pixbuf.so.2 - libglib-1.2.so.0 - libgtk-1.2.so.0 Installing gtk+, these files are located in /usr/lib 64, so I tried to create symbolic links in /usr/lib, and it still complains. Then I also tried to copy these files in/usr/lib, but with no success. My questions are: - how did you manage: have you run the rpm as user or as root  :?: - have you got the same library files in the same directory /usr/lib64 or in /usr/lib  :?: - these files are symbolic links to other files, could you tell me to which files  :?: - have you got these files anywhere else  :?: Thanks in advance for your help BTW, the new 0.9.24 should be coming soon !! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2007-07-26 12:11 did you install the 32bit or the 64bit versions of libgdk etc ? since it was installed in lib64 i guess the latter, while 0.9.22-0.i386 is a 32bit lazarus. mixing 32bit and 64bit lib does not work, so either find 32bit libs or use a 64bit exe. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- cyclo · 2007-07-27 15:15 Yes, you are right, that was my mistake. I was not expecting the 64 bits version to be automatically installed on my machine, so, that was the problem. In fact, the choice must be made at the very beginning of the Mandriva installation, and is not documented. Now, I could re-install Lazarus, and my apps are running, but I still have a problem with fonts. Thanks for your reply. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2007-07-30 09:44 some distros allow to have both libs. When installing packages the is only a difference in the arch in the name. Just install both.
