Ubuntu: fpc source not found lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- apeoperaio · 2007-05-16 09:41 Hi, I installed freepascal and lazarus on Ubuntu 7.04. I installed fpc using apt. FPC is in: /usr/lib/fpc Then I downloaded lazarus using svn. When I start lazarus I got an error: fpc source not found. I set in lazarus environment options: compiler path: /usr/lib/fpc/2.0.4/ppc386 and for source: /usr/lib/fpc/2.0.4/units/i386-linux/ When I set the source path and click OK I got this message: The FPC source directory "/usr/lib/fpc/2.0.4/units/i386-linux/" does not look correct. Normally it contains directories like rtl, packages, compiler In "/usr/lib/fpc/2.0.4/units/i386-linux/" rtl directory exists but not package and compiler. I click Ok and I got this: The system.ppu was not found in the FPC directories. Make sure fpc is installed correctly and the fpc.cfg points to the right directory. FPC is installed and make clean all works properly in the lazarus directory after svn update. Anyone knows what could be the problem? Many thanks, Andrea ---------------------------------------------------------------------- apeoperaio · 2007-05-16 12:41 Solved. Installing fpc using apt didn't install the fpc source. I downloaded it and now works fine. a. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Luciano · 2009-07-16 20:08 Hey Andrea, Could you tell me with details, how you managed to do the installation? I am having the same problem. Thank you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Luciano · 2009-07-17 15:09 Hello! I do not know what happened, but tried to download the fpc2.2.4 and could not, because the 2.2.2 is installed and not accepted. When I try to uninstall fpc2.2.2 rejected too, because I took a web and command failed. When I open the Lazarus appeared no more the error message. But I give in, Environment Options, and in FPC source directory, contained the following: /usr/share/fpcsrc/$/(FPCVER)/ Now I will try to work with him. Bye! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Luciano · 2009-07-21 12:56 Hello!    I had to uninstall everything (Fpc and LAZ) by Synaptic (The terminal with a password, type synaptic). Shortly thereafter marked for installation, first, the packets of Fpc and installed without problems. Soon after the marked packages of Lazarus and installed and worked well. Restart the laptop and everything seems normal. The versions used are: Ubuntu 9:04 Free Pascal 2.2.2 Lazarus 9.26.2
