Errors after apt-get install lazarus on debian

Hi,

the last time I installed lazarus using RPMs and alien. Which was a
drag.
After having set up a new debian I just tried
apt-get install lazarus
which worked fine so far.

Until now I have modified access rights to /usr/lib/lazarus and
/usr/lib/fpc
and run ./samplecfg

rebuilding lazarus results in an error

Linking ../lazarus
/usr/bin/ld ../link.res No such file or directory

(and now I can't start lazarus at all)

When I started the IDE before this it always complained about a
missing installation of fpc - thoug I had set the path to fpc
corrrectly

Any ideas - TNX
