Install problem Lazarus-0.9.20-0.x86_64 with deps to fpc lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sliding · 2007-02-11 15:06 I tried to install lazarus-0.9.20-0.x86_64 on my new AMD64 machine running Suse10.1 After downloading the packages needed and installing the packages: fpc-2.0.4-2.x86_64.rpm and fpc-src-2.0.4-0.x86_64 When trying to install Lazarus I get the following message error: Failed dependencies:         fpc-src = 2.0.4-2.fc6 is needed by lazarus-0.9.20-0.x86_64         gdk-pixbuf is needed by lazarus-0.9.20-0.x86_64         libgdk_pixbuf.so.2()(64bit) is needed by lazarus-0.9.20-0.x86_64 As far as I can see the fpc is installed correctly and checking it with Yast the version is fc6. What do I have to change to get Lazarus installed? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Freddy1990 · 2007-02-24 11:19 I'm running Suse 10.2 and I had about the same problem, but I eventually solved it... The fpc-src is a Fedora package, you can download it here for 64bit http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/3434608/com/fpc- src-2.0.4-2.fc6.x86_64.rpm.html After you install that you should use Yast to download the packages: gtk-devel and gdk-pixbuf-devel. That should solve your problem ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sliding · 2007-02-25 00:45 Thanks for the info. I got Lazarus running already by installing it with --nodeps, Only the created shortcuts were pointing to the wrong location under /usr/share/ while it installed in /usr/lib64/lazarus. I already added the other packages with yast and will update the source with the newer one and then renew the lazarus install, to restore the deps. Thanks
