problem with TImage lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- z4ziggy · 2006-11-11 14:12 Hello everyone, i finally got lazarus to work, and started making some small program. alas, once i put a TImage component and setting the Picture property, trying to compile the program results with the following error : Code: [Select]Unable to stream Form1:TForm1. Invalid horizontal pixel index -1 and 3 buttons options : Abort (crashes lazarus), Retry (repeats same error message) and Ignore (which compiles the program while ignoring the TImage component...). Is there a way to fix this? ps. ive tried it with several different images - all results with the same error. Thanks in advance. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- theo · 2006-11-11 14:41 I have to confirm this. This hasn't been the case in 0.9.18. After pressing Abort, my computer was completely blocked. I had to press the reset button. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2006-11-14 09:54 what version if FPC were you using ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- z4ziggy · 2006-11-14 11:07 fpc 2.0.4 also, after some more checkings, i can confirm the problem with png images only. bmp works fine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- z4ziggy · 2006-11-14 19:17 here is the complete debug output im getting on my console (when using png): Code: [Select]WARNING: ScaleAndROP  Scaling mask not yet implemented   Stack trace:   $081AEF2F   $081B03DB   $081B01A9   $081B4FFB   $081B4C02   $081B50E9   $081B5D55   $081B17AA   $081AF1C9   $0813D684  TBITMAP__WRITESTREAMWITHFPIMAGE,  line 851 of ./include/bitmap.inc   $081466FE  TFPIMAGEBITMAP__WRITESTREAM,  line 1839 of graphics.pp   $0813E3C0  TBITMAP__WRITEDATA,  line 1085 of ./include/bitmap.inc   $0813ACC7  TPICTURE__WRITEDATA,  line 640 of ./include/picture.inc   $080D49B4   $080D48FD   $0813AD29  TPICTURE__DEFINEPROPERTIES,  line 664 of ./include/picture.inc   $080D525D GTKWindowStateEventCB :TPromptDialog new_window_state=0 changed_mask=1 GTKWindowStateEventCB :TPromptDialog 0 [RMVDStPr] it seems weird to me that im using a png but the errors are from bitmap.inc and TBITMAP_* related - maybe thats the problem? hth ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2006-11-15 10:34 that's not so weird, since for all image operations, the image internally is converted to a bitmap. If not already reported in mantis, please bugrep this with a little example and the failing jpg
