checksum changed - cant open graphis unit

hello

EDIT - I switched to the fpc 2.0.4 and it compiled( i had been using
fpc 2.1.1)   the only problem now is that when i try to open a file,
or change anything in environmental options, the computer stops
responding to any input from the keyboard or the mouse although it
continues  playing music etc.  i have had this same problem with
0.9.16,.0.9.19, and now 0.9.20...
this is on an amd64 with gentoo linux.  It is getting frustrating.
 has anyone had the same experience?




i am having ttrouble getting lazarus installed it doesnt seem to be
able to open the graphics .ppu.  the file exists and the compiler
finds it but gives this message:
