Please help with lazarus install!

Help, I have installed lazarus and free pascal compiler in knoppix
type debian in hard disk but I can't it run. Thanks for your help

when I execute lazarus from the command line appears the following
warning

"Note: Environment config file not found. Using default"

and

"The free pascal source directory not found.
Some code functions will not work.
It is recomended taht you nstall it and set the path
Environment -> Environment options -> Files"

there's a button ignore here.

and then, when I click in the button "ignore" the program appears for
an instant and it disappears giving the following error message:

You need to download and install the fpc sources.

The crash could be caused because of a buggy gtk1 theme or the use of
paletted colors (i.e. less than 16 bits per pixel).
