mainbase.o trojan ??? lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- pwithler · 2006-06-27 18:31 I have Lazarus installed on a system running Fedora C4. Lazarus and FPC run fine but there is one strange thing. I installed the free AVG antivirus software and it reports that the file mainbase.o contains a trojan called PWS.Banker (I think). I uninstalled Lazarus and re- installed it and the problem remained. I doubt the trojan is really present. Anyone know about this? Peter ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2006-06-28 01:12 Maybe you should send a message to AVG so they can improve their virus detection and stop giving this false alarm. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- pwithler · 2006-06-28 03:21 Yes, I will if it turns out to be false. I was hoping someone here could answer that for me. I am not an ace with Linux so I don't want to jump to conclusions about Lazarus or AVG. Also, you could tree ClamAV, that's free and available for Linux, too ---------------------------------------------------------------------- pwithler · 2006-06-28 14:16 When I re-installed I used version 0.9.16 beta. Thanks, I'll look at ClamAV
